Auware Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2025

Who we are

Auware is a software platform operated by Buyist, Inc., a North Carolina company (“Buyist,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information related to our websites (auware.com and auware.app) and our platform and services (together, the “Services”).

If you use Auware as a business customer (for example, as a Shopify or Buyist merchant), this policy describes the information we handle in connection with your use of the Services.

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers information we collect about: - Visitors to our websites (auware.com and auware.app) - Individuals who create or log into an Auware account - Business contacts who interact with us for sales, support, or marketing.

This policy does not cover information practices of third parties we do not control. Where we link to third‑party sites or tools, their privacy practices apply.

The short version
  • We do not collect personal information from your Shopify or Buyist store.

  • We do not sell your information to third parties.

  • We honor Delete My Info requests.

  • We use Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other standard web tags on auware.com and auware.app to understand site usage and improve our marketing and product experience.

Information we collect

1) From our websites (auware.com and auware.app)

When you visit our websites, we may collect: - Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time spent, referring/exit pages, and similar technical data. Collected via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. - Form submissions: Name, business email, company, job role, and any information you choose to provide when requesting a demo, signing up for updates, or contacting support. - Account and authentication data (auware.app): Email/username, hashed passwords or single sign-on identifiers, and basic account configuration details you provide.

Cookies & tags we use: We use Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other standard platform tags for analytics, conversions, and site operations. These tools may set first- and third‑party cookies or use similar technologies.
2) From connected ecommerce stores

We do not collect personal information from your Shopify or Buyist store. That means we do not receive shoppers’ names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or similar personally identifying data from your store via our integration.

Our Services are designed to operate using anonymized, aggregated, or non‑identifying signals to power product features. Where our systems process signals from your storefront, we configure them to avoid collecting data that directly identifies an individual shopper.

3) From our business relationship with you

If you are a customer or partner, we may collect: - Business contact details: Name, business email, phone (optional), company, and role - Billing and subscription information: Plan selections and transaction metadata (payment card details are typically handled by our payment processor, not stored by us) - Support records: Information you provide in support tickets, emails, or calls

How we use information
We use the information we collect to: - Provide, secure, and maintain the Services - Respond to inquiries, provide support, and communicate with you about the Services - Analyze website and product usage to improve features and user experience - Send administrative messages and—where permitted—product updates or marketing communications (you can opt out at any time) - Detect, prevent, or investigate security incidents, abuse, or legal issues

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We may share information as follows: - Service providers/Processors: With vendors who help us run our websites and Services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support). They may access information only to perform services for us and must protect it. - Legal and safety: If required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public. - Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality and continued protection of your information.

We do not permit third parties to use website analytics data for their own advertising or marketing independent of our purposes, and we do not share your information for cross‑context behavioral advertising.

Your choices and rights
  • Delete My Info: You can request deletion of information we hold about you. See Contact Us below.

  • Access & correction: You may request access to or correction of your information.

  • Marketing communications: You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails. We may still send transactional or service‑related messages.

  • Cookies & analytics controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. You can also use tools like Global Privacy Control (GPC); where legally required, we respect such signals.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK GDPR. We will honor applicable requests consistent with those laws.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We also strive to minimize what we keep and for how long.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International data transfers
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries with different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children’s privacy
Our Services are not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting the updated policy here with a new effective date).
